Running, falling, and some flowers

Greetings comrades,

I have returned. A lot has been going on in my life (all good) and I’m happy to be able to write a positive blog post today.

Some new hobbies have taken up time in my life and they are all sort of fitness related. It started with a little 2 minute jog and now I’m absolutely vibrating with energy waiting for my next run. Running is actually so rewarding if your brain isn’t broken. I started my running journey on May 24th, so its been a little over two weeks now. On June 3rd I accomplished my very first 5k. Of course I have been chasing that high since.

My last run seemed like an epic fail due to so many circumstances, but I suppose one should celebrate even the smallest of victories. Also so many of our wild flowers are blooming right now and it makes my outings much more special.

Some wild roses. I’ve always been a fan of these guys.

The falling part of my title is in reference to the two times I have played frisbee in my yard. The old renters of my place had dug out a hole for a fire pit and it never got filled in- and that thing calls to me apparently. Like the Green Goblin suit was calling to Norman Osborne. First time I went down on my bum, the second time I lost my footing and fell forward into the hole (apparently in slow motion). We went to the convenience store shortly after and the worker there said I had grass in my hair lol.

I have a lot of fun playing games outside. I’d like to do it more often.

I also have more flowers to show! My lovely husband sent me some moolah for flower baskets and I was able to get a couple cuties. I’ve been wanting to get flower baskets ever since I moved into this place and I’m very happy my dreams have come true. I went to the green house with my best friend and we came up with the idea to make our own hanging baskets next year with a bunch of different flowers. I think that will be a nice craft night session.

Me with my lovely flowers.

Another success I’ve had was playing some video games yesterday. Since I started my medication I have had zero interest in video games and it was starting to make me a bit sad. Yesterday I had the opportunity to try a new game with my husband (Palia!) and so far it seems really cute and chill. It’s a free MMO that seems to focus on more of the cozy aspects such as decorating, gardening, catching fish, exploring, etc. I’m not too sure if it’s combat heavy. Hopefully we end up liking it. My cat was creeping me out when I was playing, he might be a hater.

My cat staring into my soul.

My family and friends have also been talking about starting a Minecraft realm together. I think it will be a nice way for all of us to hang out online. We will see what happens 🙂

I think that’s all I want to talk about for now.

Until next time.
